December 9, 1963-July 20, 2025
Robert Joseph Correa, age 61, passed away on July 20, 2025. He was the husband of Penny Correa and shared 41 years of marriage.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 9, 1963, he was the son of David and JoAnn (nee Lilly) Correa. He attended Hickman Mills during his high school education and further expanded his education with an associate's degree. During his time at Hickman Mills he was a member of the baseball team and further played at Longview College, also a member of the Blue Ridge Baptist Temple church league. He later attended an HVAC school at Herndon while accomplishing many certifications. He started his employment with John Knox Village and continued for 42 years.
Some of his hobbies were playing guitar, enjoying music/concerts and teaching the love of baseball to his daughters and his grandchildren. He enjoyed visiting his family, and spending time together at family gatherings that typically consisted of a friendly game of baseball. He made sure to stop by his parents house every Monday to fix anything they needed and visit.
Rob was a faithful servant and member of Blue Ridge Baptist Temple and later attended Manna Fellowship. He had a heart for God and served numerous years in Awana's, Children's ministry, Bus Ministry, etc. Outside of church ministry, he also helped anyone and everyone, he was the go-to guy for all needs related to HVAC. He had a heart for people and cared about his family deeply. His grandchildren were his joy and he was known as the fun "Papa". He taught them how to play catch, throw a ball, skateboard and tell silly jokes.
He is preceded in death by his oldest brother David Michael Correa.
He is survived by his spouse Penny Correa, his children Alysha Seals (Billy Seals – husband), Amanda Spratt (Kyle Spratt – husband), five grandchildren Bella Seals (11), Brooklynn Seals (6), Kyler Spratt (8), Camdyn Jo Spratt (5) and Mak Spratt (2), parents David and JoAnn (Lilly) Correa, brother Keith Correa (Julie Correa – wife), and a community of nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with an abundance of friends and church family.

Such a great guy honestly one of the nicest people we all grew up with. I was thinking how fortunate I was the other day to have been able to go to kindergarten with the same people that I graduated with. Even though a lot of us don´t keep in touch. There´s certainly a sense of family and kinship when you lose somebody from the old neighborhood thoughts and prayers with the family!! Robbie RIP From The Folkert Family
