Ruby Lois Crouse, 90 of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on September 19, 2025. She was born on September 8, 1935 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
In January 1955, Ruby married the love of her life, Ronnie Crouse, and together they built a family grounded in love and faith.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, her husband Ronnie, and 2 sons Michael and David.
She is survived by her daughter Susan (Ron) Lassiter and son Terry (Kim) Crouse; daughters-in-law Janelle Crouse and Pam Crouse; her grandchildren Lindsey (Caitlin); Kyle (Sara); Allyson, Amy (Jeff); Gordon (Kat); Rachel (Patrick); Alex, Riley and Avery; and great-grandchildren Violet, Miles, Casey and Dylan.
Ruby worked for Wright-Patterson and JCPenney, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Beyond her career, Ruby lived a life full of love, curiosity, and creativity. She enjoyed traveling, reading, cross-stitching, collecting, trying new foods, and cheering at her children's and grandchildren's events. Ruby's love of sports, music, and fellowship at church-especially singing in the choir-were central to her life and spirit.
A celebration of Ruby's life will be held at Park Hill Church (meeting at Athens Church) on September 27 at 11:00 am
