Gregory Crouse

Gregory Nuel Crouse, 70, husband of Shirley Worthington Crouse, of Beaufort, SC, died Sunday, January 11, 2026 at his residence after battling cancer for several years.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00am in Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors.

Gregg was born on October 5, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN. He is the son of the late Glenn Nuel Crouse and Cynthia Snodgrass Crouse.

Growing up in military family and moving to Beaufort at a young age, Gregg had a love for the water. You could find him out in river on most weekends, fishing or just riding, spending time with his family. If he wasn't out in the river on his own boat, he was out river testing a boat for a customer! He took such pride in knowing that he alongside his Grandson LJ, grew their boat repair business by simply "word of mouth."

Gregg never met a stranger! He could strike up a conversation with anyone and by the time you left, you knew everything about him and especially his grandkids. They were truly his pride & joy. He was "Papaw" to so many more than just his grandchildren and "Dad" to many.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Shirley; is one one daughter, Tiffany Jenkins (Lenard), one son, James Crouse (Bridget) seven brothers, Kevin, Darrell, Martin, Mickey, Billy, Timmy and John; four sisters, Brenda "BJ", Marilyn, Mary and Jenny Jo; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
