Robert Crawmer Obituary
ALBANY - Robert K Crawmer, 95, passed away at home, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
Born and raised in Colonie, he was the son of the late Kenneth D. and Bessie V. (Dessormeau) Crawmer.
He was graduate of Mont Pleasant High School class of 1948, and went on to serve his country in the US Navy from 1948 to 1952. During his service, Bob was stationed on several ships, including the USS El Dorado. Upon his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Bob returned home and took employment as a foreman with CMP Industries in Albany, a career he enjoyed for many years, and where he met his future wife, Joyce L. (Bushey) Crawmer. Bob and Joyce were married on October 8, 1972.
In his free time, Bob loved to be in the outdoors, especially fishing, boating and camping.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sister, Blanche V. Burnor; and his brother, Kenneth R. Crawmer.
Survivors include his loving wife, Joyce L. Crawmer; sister, Jan Donnelly, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at Griswold Funeral Home, Schenectady. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y.

I remember "uncle Bob" through his niece Donna, my childhood friend and extended family. I have many memories of how much fun he was, laughing and joking and the times camping and boating. He and his family were a huge part of my childhood. God bless you, and your family.
