Robert William Criss, affectionately known as "Bob," age 66, of South Park, PA, passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2025.
Born on April 4, 1959, in Valley Forge, PA, Bob was the son of Margaret and the late Joseph Estok. For over 40 years, Bob served as a dedicated mail carrier in Bethel Park, where he became a familiar and friendly face to countless residents. Known for his warm smile, quick wit, and boundless generosity, Bob earned the nickname "the Candy Man" for always carrying sweets in his pocket to share with everyone he met.
Bob was the kind of person who made friends wherever he went. A true social spirit and a master of practical jokes, he brought laughter and light to those around him. At home, he was the ultimate handyman, always ready to fix, build, or tinker with something. He had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures-especially a good slice of pizza, a great movie, and his favorite classic rock tunes.
He was a devoted family man-loving husband of 40 years to Kimberly Criss; proud father to Tyler (Mandie) Criss and Emily (Ben) Melone; and adoring grandfather to Hayden and Carter Melone. Bob was also a beloved brother to Debra Steffy and Jeffrey (Kathy) Criss; son-in-law to the late Larence and Shirley Hart. Brother-in-law to Lynn (Craig) Mullen, Sheryl (Paul) Guzan and Larence W. Hart; and a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a dog lover through and through, often calling himself a proud "dog father."
Per Bob's wishes, there will be no public viewing. Services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.
Bob will be remembered for the joy he brought into everyday life and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the smiles he inspired, the laughter he shared, and the hearts he touched.

When I read this morning of Bob's unexpected passing it brought tears.
We live in Bethel Park and Bob was our mail carrier for many years. Our dogs loved Bob as well, because he loved them.
We did miss Bob as our carrier, but would see him occasionally in other places. Our conversations could have gone on forever. Bob always had a smile even if he had aches and pains.
Our sincerest sympathy to his wife and dear family. He shared his love for his family often. I'm sorry your years were cut short to have Bob in your lives. Though we know memories of Bob will be forever.
God Blessings for comfort during this difficult time.

Ann and Tom Albanesi
(our now deceased dogs, Casey and Lucy)
