Robert Daas Obituary
Robert Daas, age 64, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, April 13, 2023. He graduated from Havelock High School (Havelock, NC) in 1977. He served in the Navy from 1980 to 1986. He completed two tours on the USS O'Bannon DD-987.
Robert's post Navy career focused on Information technology and ground breaking maintenance.
Robert had a penchant for storytelling and wasn't afraid to embellish. He loved to laugh.His outlook on life was unique, to say the least. He will be missed. Surviving family includes his wife of 36 years, Regina Fabian Daas, daughters, Catherine (Brian Connelly) and Michelle Daas; brothers, Joseph, Steve and Riley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents Robert F Daas and Cordelia(Dee) Daas Fox of Ketner Heights in Havelock NC.
Grave side service with military honors is set for May 2, 2023 at 11:15 AM at the Jacksonville Veterans National Cemetery.
