Robert Dains

Robert Dains, 41, passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2026, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 4201 Big Bluestem Drive, Marion, Iowa 52302. There will be fixings for sandwiches, desserts, chips. Bring your own drinks, including alcohol.

Robert was born on September 13, 1984, in Cedar Rapids, son to Robert and Ruby (Williams) Dains. He was united in marriage to Amanda Neelans on April 14, 2012, in Marion, Iowa.

Robert was very musically gifted, performing and active in many bands throughout the years. He also enjoyed playing video games, watching WWE, spending time with family and friends, and going to metal concerts.

Robert is survived by his wife, Amanda Dains; parents, Robert and Ruby Dains; children, Madison (Jonathan Dooley) Dains, Brandon Dains, Stephanie Dains, and Wednesday Dains; sisters, Kimberly Ross and Teresa Hamann; and many loving family members and friends.
