Walter Daniels Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium on Feb. 3, 2026.
Walter "Walt" Lange Daniels previously resided in Marion, Iowa and currently resides in Romeoville, Illinois at the time of his passing. Walt was born in Chicago to the late Benjamin S. and the late Marion M (nee Lange) Daniels, twin brother to Arthur R. (Barb) Daniels, and loving brother to Darlene (Patrick) Gallagher, proud uncle of Christopher (Evelyn) Daniels, Joseph Gallagher, and Benjamin (Danielle) Gallagher, great-uncle of Jake Gallagher, Emma Daniels, and Logan Gallagher, and cousin to many.

Walt is a graduate of CVS High School. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and served 4 years to our country. He then went on to complete his Bachelor's Degree and then his Master's Degree in computer engineering at the University of Illinois-Champaign. After graduation, he relocated to Marion, Iowa and was employed by Rockwell International, where he was a member of the elite team for the Stealth Bomber. Walt dedicated many years of service to his local church. Often times, he would sponsor youth programs and dedicate everything to the church's summer youth camps. He enjoyed spending time with his nephews and frequently made the drive for their special events and sports. Walt will be dearly missed by his loving family.
