Robert Damron

Robert Damron, 76, of Amarillo, TX boot scooted from his current accommodations to a deluxe apartment in the sky on November 7, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family as he breathed his last earthly breath.

Robert embodied the mantra "If I have a dime; you have a dime." He selflessly gave to friends and strangers alike. He even gave a handsome sum to a random person he met in a restroom in Vegas.

Robert was born in El Paso, TX to Homer and Nadine Damron. Robert graduated from Amarillo High School in 1963. He attended Amarillo College and joined the Navy. He finished his education at THE University of Texas where his life really began as he was lucky enough to meet the girl of his dreams (actually any man's dreams)! Jeanette was smokin' hot and was ALWAYS willing to share her advice and opinions!

Robert was a member of the Pioneer Gun Club, Shriners Palo Duro Masonic Lodge, NRA, Sam's Club, and Carpenters Sunday School Class. As a CPA and certified hoarder, he opened Damron's Jewelry, Guns, and Pawn. Robert was father to his beautiful daughter, Elaine Kathryn Michels, 49, whom he loved dearly, and his amazing son, John Charles Damron, 47, who was arguably his favorite. Both children married out of their league to Kyle Michels and Renée Damron respectively. He is also survived by his sweet, never aging sister, Linda Damron Webb and husband Dean. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Damron and survived by his wife Leslie. He also left behind the most incredible grandchildren alive, Cason Damron, 19, Braden Damron, 16, and Gabrielle Michels, 16. Last but not least, his wife of 50 years, Jeanette Damron.

He made us laugh. He gave unconditionally. He loved us all. He had no enemies, and he never said a single curse word.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 12, 2021, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
