In Loving Memory
Robert J. Danough, Jr.
September 4, 1964 – October 2, 2024
CAMDEN, NY – Robert J. Danough, Jr. of Camden, NY, passed away at the age of 60 on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Syracuse, NY, with his loving wife Tammie by his side. Rob was born on September 4, 1964, to Joyce and Robert Danough, Sr.
Rob was a 1982 graduate of Camden Central Schools. After High School, he would work for Camden Wire before going back to school to earn his Associates Degree in Graphic Design from Mohawk Valley Community College. Following Mohawk Valley, he would work for Cathedral Corp. in Rome, working as a graphic designer.
Rob was a family man through and through, living a life dedicated to his family. This fondness was ever so apparent in the quality time he spent at family game night. He also loved helping with his nieces and nephews and was seen as a father figure to them. When he was young, he had a love for sports, enjoying tennis, baseball, racing, and bowling. For the entirety of his life, he held a strong passion for reading, which he shared with his son when he was younger. In his later years, he enjoyed woodworking and would DIY just about anything he could accomplish.
He was a very open-minded man, developing numerous hobbies and passions, including car enthusiasm, photography, cooking, 3D printing, and traveling.
He was predeceased by his niece, Lauren Belius, and his nephew, Nick Sherman. Rob is survived by his wife, Tammie; his son, Jessie; his parents, Robert Sr. and Joyce; siblings, Allison Belius and Kelli Swancott; nieces and nephews, Nolan, Erica, Justin, and Edward; mother-in-law, Pauline Sherman; brothers-in-law, Ed Sherman and Tim Sherman; and sister-in-law, Tina Kirk.
Rob's family will receive family and friends from 3 – 4 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, at LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family would kindly request that a donation to the American Diabetes Association be made in his name.
