Robert P. Dansereau, 83, of Marlborough passed away at UMASS Memorial Health Center, Worcester, on Friday, June 13, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born in Ware, MA to the late Paul R. and late Irene (LaBrecque) Dansereau.

He joined the Navy when he was 18 years old and served as a cook on the USS Hyman.

Robert married Helen (Gatti) in 1966 and started their family. They were married for 45 years when Helen passed in 2011.

He is survived by his 3 children, Theresa Dansereau of Northborough, Robert Dansereau Jr. of Natick and Christine Dansereau of Northborough. He is also survived by his sisters Joyce Dansereau and Paulette Wojtowicz along with many nieces and nephews.

Robert is predeceased by his daughter Jamie Dansereau and his sister Linda Baker.

Bob was an avid reader, most times he was reading 2 books at a time. He loved watching old western shows on tv. He joked around with everyone he met. He loved being with his family on the holidays. He was a great cook and loved barbecuing in the summertime with his family. He absolutely loved his care team at Summit Eldercare Services and at Christopher Heights in Marlborough, especially the Sunshine Gang and Charlie's Angels.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday June 20, 2025, at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough, MA.

Visitation Hours will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 5-7 pm in the Short and Rowe Funeral Home, 95 West Main Street, Marlborough, MA.
