Robert Neal "Bobby" Davenport

Robert "Bobby" Neal Davenport, age 89 years, departed this life on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Dolores Davenport; granddaughter, Lorrie Jo Law; parents, Lawrence C. And Lena D. Davenport; brothers, "Little" Paul Houston Davenport, L.D. Davenport (and wife Ann), Eugene Davenport; and brother-in-law, Darrell Cropper.
He is survived by daughter, Pamela (Clarence) Nipper; three grandchildren, Rebecca (Danny) Westergard, Richie (Stephanie) Nipper, and Courtney (Timmy) Parks; eight great-grandchildren, Sydney (Matthew) Vick, Hannah Westergard, Robert Daven Westergard, Carson, Kate and Callie Nipper, Aubree and Brylee Harrub; sister Peggy Cropper, and many nieces and nephews.
He was deeply loved and respected by his family and friends. He was born, raised, and lived the majority of his life in Antioch, graduating from Antioch High School prior to joining the U. S. Army and serving overseas. He was a member of Burnette Chapel Church of Christ along with his family. He retired from Ford Glass Plant after 35 years at the age of 58.
With his family, he enjoyed fishing, his condo in Florida, family vacations, driving his tractor to bush hog his land in Antioch, and maintaining his property.
After losing his wife in 2018, he moved to Auburntown to be near his daughter and son-in-law. While there, he made many friends and was often seen driving around Auburntown with his faithful companion "Pun'kin"!
While Daddy will be greatly missed by family and friends, his grieving for Mama has ended, and they will be back in each other's arms. Praise the Lord for His many blessings!
Services will be held Monday, May 6, 2024, at Woodbine Funeral Home - Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, Nashville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral services immediately following, led by Danny Westergard. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville.
Active Pallbearers: Kenny Campsey, Richie Nipper, Timmy Parks, Patrick Pruter, Kelly Sweet, Travis Turney, Matthew Vick, and Robert Daven Westergard.
