Robert and I joined the Navy around the same time and we were classmates for years up to and including summer school for economics class. He was the happiest person I had ever met and it was extremely contagious, he brightened the world around him and he will be missed.

Our hearts go out to Robert's family. The last time I checked out in his lane, one of my items was left in the bagging area. Robert left his position at the register and rushed out to my car with the item before I finished loading my groceries. Always kind and caring. Nancy and Bill Humphrey

I always tried to get to lane #1 so I could talk to Rob. He was always kind and patient. I loved that he always took just a few seconds to fold my receipt before giving it to me or putting it in my bag. I know that seems like a small thing, but to me it was symbolic of how he would not give in to being rushed. Sometimes people are in a big hurry, but Rob always took those few seconds to do the job just right. I´ll truly miss him.

Robert was a friend of mine and my husband. I met Robert 19 years ago and my husband met him when he started working at Kroger. They became friends very quickly. Robert was humorous and an excellent conversationalist. He was a kind human being. His presence is greatly missed. He was a good friend.
Our condolences to your family

I remember he was working almost nearly every day that I was shopping at Kroger's when I would come up to check out he always had a warm smile on his face. I could tell that he was hiding the pain something probably with his age catching up to him I believed he was long past time of retirement but I could also tell he took a great enjoyment in his job and what an amazing position I wonder if he knew just how many friends he truly had and absolutely adored his smile and gentle demeanor! He will be missed!

I am so very sorry to learn of Robert's passing. He was such a kind, caring man. I always tried to get his register at checkout time. He was so interesting to talk to, and he was always a good listener, as well. He went out of his way to be helpful. I looked for him yesterday, not knowing that he had passed away. Very sad. I will miss him.

Robert will be Missed, He had a smile that lit up a room and just made each of our Days brighter. I knew when I would see his orange car pull up, it was going to be a better day. He was funny, kind and hard working. We will miss him so much! Prayers and love to his family from all of us at Colby´s Totally Clean!

I often talked with Robert when I came into Kroger. He liked to watch football, and I had some brief stories to tell him about some of my experiences and interests. He always was a good listener and responded with a smile and comments. I am praying for his family.
