Robert Deau "Bob" age 82, passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2025. He was an avid golfer, great bowler and an enthusiastic hockey player. Bob enjoyed going fishing and got together with dear friends twice a week to play cards. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl Deau (nee Hodson); cherished daughter Rachel (Mark) Kazimierski; treasured grandchildren Isabella and Luke; fond sister Sharon (Kenneth) Czajka and dear brother-in-law Price (Sue) Hodson. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Emil and Mildred Deau. Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 13, 2025 from 1 - 5pm at Anderson Memorial Home, 21131 W Renwick Rd, Plainfield IL 60544, followed by a prayer service at the funeral home. Church service is scheduled at St Joseph in Rockdale August 14, 10:30 am. Inurnment with military honors to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood IL.

Bob invited us to join his golf group 'Rain or Shine' along with Jim Coughenour. We played Dubsdread and moved from there to Balmoral. Always positive and hilarious. Rest in Peace my friend.

Our deepest sympathies to all of you as you mourn the loss of your husband, dad, grandfather, and cousin. We are lifting you up in this time of deep sorrow and sadness. May God give you comfort and peace every day knowing that you WILL see Bob again in our Heavenly home.
