Robert John DeRoche

Robert John DeRoche passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017, in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 78. He was born on Tuesday, September 13, 1938, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Antoinette Wilson DeRoche and the late Collins DeRoche. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sherry Ann Robichaux DeRoche; daughters, Andra Lee DeRoche Cross and husband Jeffrey, Dani DeRoche Schindler, and Vicki DeRoche Moss and husband David; son, Robert John DeRoche, Jr., grandchildren, Chantell, Lauren, Jake, Gage, Cassidy, Rafe, MacKayla, Cade; great-grandchildren, Jace and Roman; brothers, Ralph DeRoche and Ronnie DeRoche. He was preceded in death by his parents, Collins and Ruby Wilson DeRoche. Original member of his beloved Shepherds, a brotherhood of lifetime friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 North 8th Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 9:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
