Robert Dice Obituary

ROBERT FRANKLIN DICE, JR Robert "Bob" Franklin Dice, Jr., age 89, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025. Born on October 7, 1935, in Wichita, Kansas, Bob was the beloved son of Robert Franklin and Bessie Jane (Sutter) Dice, Sr. Bob graduated from North High School in Wichita and went on to earn an Associate's Degree from Butler Community College. He dedicated much of his life to public service, proudly serving as both a policeman and a firefighter for the City of El Dorado. Bob found deep purpose in his work as a firefighter and carried a lifelong pride in the role he played in protecting his community. On September 4, 1956, Bob married the love of his life, Kenna Lu Fluke, in Wichita, Kansas. Together they built a life centered on family, commitment, and shared adventures. Bob had a passion for model trains and a fondness for Porsche cars. He also cherished time spent on the water, enjoying boating with his family. He took great pride in making stained glass and would often gift his creations to family and friends. His hobbies brought him joy, but it was his family that truly filled his heart. He is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Kenna; his son, Jim (Kathy) Dice; daughter-in-law, Denise Dice; grandchildren, Jennifer Morton, Jeffrey Dice, Brian Dice, Megan Goebel, and Kevin Dice; as well as six great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his son Mike Dice, and his sister Mary Jane Brueck. A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church. Bob will be inurned at Leon Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Interim Hospice or Trinity United Methodist Church.
