Robert A. "Bob" Dick, 61, of Hutchinson, died at his home August 6, 2025 after a long courageous battle with lung and liver cancer. He was born October 4, 1963, in Hutchinson, to Robert and Sharron (Lemen) Dick. His father passed away when Bob was young. Sharron married Lester Zimmerman in 1980 who became a wonderful step-father.

On April 29, 1985, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Kimberly, in Sterling, Kansas. He and Kim started "going together" during their 1980 to 1981 school year. They shared 40 beautiful years of marriage.

Bob served in the United States Army for three years where he achieved medals in sharpshooting and hand grenades. He was an active member of American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68 Legion Riders. Bob was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, and woodworking. Above all, his favorite outdoor activity was spending time on the open road with his motorcycle. When indoors, Bob enjoyed the solitude of painting and creating various works of art. He was truly the man with the plan who was prepared for anything that life brought him.

Bob is survived by his: beloved wife, Kimberly Dick of Hutchinson; daughters, Savannah Dick of Alabama, Danielle (Tony) Hathaway and Tiffany (Levi) Sterling of Hutchinson; brother, Scott (Tammy) Dick of South Hutchinson; step-father, Lester Zimmerman of Hutchinson; step-sisters, Lita and Lara Zimmerman of Sterling; daughter-in-law, Jamie Dick of Hutchinson; grandchildren; KayLynn, Lillian, Allyson, Ashton, Kyleigh, Isaiah, Elizabeth, Madison, Bethany, and Catherine; adored dog, Patches.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharron, and son, Bruce Dick.

Cremation has taken place.

A come and go Celebration Of Life will be 12 to 3 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2025, at American Legion Post 68, 730 W 4th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67501.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS, 67501.
