Robert Dickson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Strickland & Family Cremations & Funeral Services on Jan. 16, 2026.
Robert Earl Dickson, Jr., beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed into eternity on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026. Born on June 1st, 1992, Robert leaves behind many family and friends that love him. He is survived by his mother, Margie Dickson; his father, Robert Earl Dickson, Sr. (Teena); his sisters: Starr Van Wingerden (Case), Belle Willard (John), Joy Brombacher (Colby), Jeni Tilley (Mark), and Kristen Pitman; brothers: Lee Gandy and Aaron Dickson; his nieces and nephews: Matthew, Joseph, Sam, Abigail, Thomas, Ruthie, and Daniel; Maci, Peyton, Paige, and Johnny; Annabelle and Austin; Taylor; Donovan and Mac; as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A passionate and talented person from birth, Robert did everything with his whole heart; whether it was learning a new song on the guitar or playing "Try Not to Laugh" with his family, Robert gave of himself fully to his pursuits and to those he loved. His passion for life extended into many special interests. He was always enthusiastic about sharing what he had with those around him, showing love by giving of his time and resources to anyone who needed help or a friend. Gifted with a natural talent in music and gaming, self-taught in everything, Robert devoted his time to teaching his nieces and nephews and making people laugh. He lived his life for others, refusing to keep his gifts to himself.
Robert leaves with his family many memories including listening to and playing music on his guitar, collecting and sharing Pokémon cards, orchestrating fun games at family gatherings, and "riffing" with his mom over the phone. There was never a dull moment with Robert.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 19th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Bayside Christian Church with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. A graveside burial will be held at Riverside directly after the service.
