Robert Luster Digby was born to Clifton Lee Digby and Barbara Joan Digby on April 2, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He departed this world to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, May 9, 2025 in the presence of his wife Karen Digby and son Brad Digby.
He enjoyed a successful, lifelong career in the oil and gas industry, working with Kerr McGee and the Wynnewood Refinery. He later retired from ONEOK as an equipment analyst. Robert then spent his retirement building his ranch with his wife.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his ranch. He was a talented craftsman, woodworker, knife maker and was extremely mechanically inclined and meticulous in detail. He took great pride in a variety of projects.
Robert was many things to many people: husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend. He thoroughly enjoyed mentoring others, both during his career and afterward. Robert would always be ready to help anyone in need. He was a true friend whom many could count on day or night. His compassion, generosity, and loyalty were of paramount importance to him and those who knew him. He regularly used his quick wit and humor to brighten others' day.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Clif Digby.
Robert is survived by his mother, Barbara J. Grant, wife Karen Digby, sisters, Joan Reese and husband Doug, Cheryl Christian and husband Brent, son Brad Digby and wife Jaime, as well as stepdaughter Michele Oller. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Alana Digby, Brynlee Malaska, Lynlee Oller and Zaiden Oller as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
