Robert (Bobby) Diggs completed his race on January 22, 2025. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior where he met his parents, sisters, Doris and Patsy, brothers Bradford and Tommy, brother in laws Gayle, Bo, and Terry, and nephew Steve. He leaves behind his wife and soulmate, Anita, his son Lonnie and wife, Amy, and daughter Shelley. He leaves behind thirteen grandchildren Lonnie Jr., Scott and his wife, DD, Miss Hannah, Gabby girl, Scott and wife, Kristan, Taylor and wife, Cassy, Kevin, Korey, Taner, and Shelby. He also leaves behind seven great grandchildren Aubrey, Rhett, Ryder, Levi, Hayes, Karson, and Kori. He leaves behind two sisters, Linda and Betty, sisters-in-law Jeanie, Peggy, Ms. Charlotte, Joann, and Carol, and brothers-in-law Ken and wife Prissy, Billy, Gerald, and Weldon.
Bobby was a Vietnam veteran and worked as an electrician with six of his nephews. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, papaw, and uncle to a host of nieces and nephews. We loved Bobby deeply and he was a hero to all of us.
Bobby, as the head of our family, with his wisdom and guidance helped to instill in three generations honor, integrity, hard-working ethic, and love of family. His thumbprint and characteristics his is legacy left to us and generations to come.
