Shannon Diggs Obituary
French Settlement, Louisiana - Shannon Lee Diggs affectionately known by his friends as "Swamp Donkey," passed away peacefully on February 20,2026, in Gonzales, Louisiana. Shannon's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Survived by mother Joy Robertson, father Rex Diggs, brother Jarrett Robertson, Aunt Tina Richardson, Uncle Bobby Robertson, loving girlfriend Lola Borne Kinler, nephews Chevy, Harley and Dax. Preceded in death by Stepfather Dane Giardina, Grandmother Lois Lee Perry.
He attended French Settlement Elementary and St. Amant High, where he built lifelong friendships. He played baseball for King George Bayou League and football at St. Amant High.
Shannon loved living on the Amite River. He definitely lived his life to the fullest. He had a huge heart and passion for helping others. His absence will be felt by the many great friends he considered family. A memorial service will be held from 11AM to 2PM on March 7, 2026, at Christ Healing Community Church 404 W Pine Street Gonzales, Louisiana 70737, Immediately following will be a celebration of Shannon's life at 19545 Louisiana Trace Rd French Settlement, La. 70733
