Wayne was born April 24, 1943 in Medford, Ore., and passed away at home June 4, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.
In 1961, he graduated from Ashland High School Ashland, Ore. From 1961-1966 he served in the U.S. Navy as a Second Class Radarman on the USS Bauer Destroyer Escort.
In 1965 he married Darlene Flagg. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Tanya Norby, Kim Ditsworth, and Christy Oldenstadt; Seven grandchildren, Mike Clark, Kelsey Ryder (James), Kirsten Oldenstadt (Eric) and Courtney Oldenstadt, and Britney Norby; brother Norman Ditsworth, Palmer, Alaska; sister, Glenda Bray, Medford, Ore.; and three great-grandsons; Ryker Clark, Waylon Ryder, and Cash Ryder. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a great-grandson, Xavier Wayne Ricker.
He was a certified Porsche/Audi technician and was owner/operator of Motor Sports International for 45 years. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife of 58 years and spending time with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Phoenix High School Alumni Scholarship Association, Aloha Grange #773 or Ashland Alumni Foundation.
Celebration of Life to be held at 3 p.m., July 22, 2023, at the Sherwood Elks in Sherwood, Ore.
