Robert "Bob" John Dixon, 73, of Camp Hill, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Camp Hill Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 27, 1952 to the late Hugh and Eleanor (Fenton) Dixon.
Bob graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1970 and furthered his education by attending Penn State University. He worked at Camp Hill Distributors, a family owned business. Bob loved to be outdoors and pursued fishing, bird watching, and nature photography. This love of nature led to his volunteering at the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art. Bob was an avid reader and a lifelong learner. He loved to be around others and found joy in life's simple pleasures. He also found peace through religion and spirituality.
He is survived by children, Cole Dixon of San Diego, CA and Jessica (John) Noll, of Etters; grandchildren, Madison, Andrew, and Harper Noll, of Etters; siblings, Nancy (Rudy) Chandler of Virginia Beach, VA, Sandra Dixon of San Mateo, CA, and Susan (Karl) Kemble of Camp Hill, and nephews, Mark (Lauren) Chandler of Virginia Beach, VA, Mason (Rebecca) Kemble, of Camp Hill, Weston (Josefa) of Camp Hill, and Nash Kemble, of Camp Hill.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Chandler.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in the Myers- Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011 from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. A graveside service will be held in the Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011 at 11:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc., 7790 Grayson Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111 or the World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th Street, N.W. Washington, DC 20037.
