Robert Joseph Doubek passed away on April 20, 2025, in Centennial, CO. A loving husband to Carolyn Doubek (1930 – 2012) for 61 years.
He is survived by sons Douglas Doubek of Granby, CO, Gregory Doubek of Franktown, CO; his daughter Diana Doubek Regan of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Annalise Regan of St. Louis and Andrew Robert Regan of Beacon NY. Robert had 3 great grandchildren: Carter Wood, Sophie Schoenherr and Noah Schoenherr of St. Louis.
Bob Doubek was a mechanical engineer in the oil industry for many years. While a hard worker, it was Bob’s hobbies that defined him: skiing, hiking, fly fishing, scuba diving, carpentry, square dancing. Bob’s greatest passion, however, was aviation. He was a licensed pilot for 79 years, taking his last flight in 2025. He served proudly on many advisory and governing boards including Centennial Airport and the Granby CO airport.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 5 at 1 p.m. at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd in Centennial CO.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wings Over the Rockies to honor Bob’s love of flight. Donations can be made here, please place Robert's name in the comments.
