Robert Downs Obituary
Robert D. Downs, Jr., 64, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident. Robert was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent his career in a variety of trades, including construction, plumbing, roofing, and chimney work. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed taking trips to Seaside and was an avid fisherman who found peace and happiness on the water. Above all, Robert loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Predeceased by his father, Robert D. Downs, Sr.; his mother, Jean M. (Morrissey) Abramowitz; he is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 45 years, Tracy (Wolverton) Downs; sons, Robert D. (Maria) Downs, III, and Brian (Ashley) Downs; four siblings, Joseph (Dionella) Downs, Kim Downs and fiancé Earl Huling, Michael (Wendy) Abramowitz, and Daniel (Dawn) Abramowitz; five grandchildren, Aiden, Jordan, Summer, Jaycein and Jeremiah; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Services were private and under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton.
