Robert Drake Obituary
Monticello - Robert Warren "Rob" Drake, 48, of Monticello passed away at 5:53 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 17, 2026) at Mayo Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn.
Rob was born on April 16, 1977, in Champaign, the son of David Warren and Geraldine (Barth) Drake. He married Amber Renae Hosselton on March 23, 2013, in Mahomet.
Rob is survived by his wife, Amber Drake of Monticello; children, Carter Henry Drake and Elise Merida Drake, both of Monticello; parents, Warren (Geraldine) Drake of Mahomet; sister, Sheryl Drake of Thomasboro; father- and mother-in-law, John (Darlene) Hosselton of Cisne; sisters-in-law, Jonica (Brian) Weiler of Lake St. Louis and Erin (Ryan) Koertge of Albion; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Rob was associate director of Technical Support Services at Parkland College.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Champaign. He enjoyed serving in his son's Scout troop, riding motorcycles, boating and driving his truck with his dear friend and brother, Mark McClain.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello, with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Little Galilee Christian Camp or the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to the family at mackey-wrightfuneralhome.com.
