Robert Dries Obituary

Bob served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, earning his Combat Infantryman Badge. He was a successful small business owner who found great fulfillment in his work. Sam, as his family affectionately called him, enjoyed time with his beloved wife and family on Long Beach Island, on family vacations and honoring holiday traditions. Bob loved to have a good time and in recent years enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and spending time with his friends.
Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife Linda in 2022. He is survived by his loving daughters Jennifer Donahue, her husband Peter, and their sons Colin, Owen and Quinn and Shannon Hopkins, her husband Dave and their son Dalton.
Friends may visit the family on Monday, June 9 from 4:00-7:00pm at Dooley Colonial Home in Westfield. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 10 at 9:45am at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Westfield, with entombment and Military Honors to follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked in Robert's name to Center For Hope Hospice at www.cfhh.org/donate/

I was so sorry to hear the sad news of your dad´s passing Jen. Losing a parent is so hard. My deepest condolences to you and your family. You are in my prayers during this difficult time. May your dad rest in eternal peace where there is no more pain and suffering.
