Robert James Ducsay Sr., age 84 of Mentor, passed away October 7 th, 2025 in Fairport Harbor with his family by his side. He was born August 7 th, 1941 in Cleveland, OH to the late John and Anna Ducsay.

Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked as a machinist for Euclid Inc., Argo-Tech and retired from Lincoln Electric after 40 years of service.

Bob volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 15 years. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially time spent with his family and friends. His sense of humor, compassion and outlook for life will be missed by all who knew him.

Bob was the loving husband of the late Kaye Ducsay (nee Gannon); dearest father of Robert (Johanna) Ducsay Jr., Kimberly (Gary) Goellner, Denise (Jim) Kern, Melissa Maloney and the late Jennifer (David) Lyons; step father of Nancy Arnold, ReeJean Wood, Deborah (Craig) Murray-Brown, Wendy (Bob) Easter and Janet Hula; grandfather of 29; great grandfather of 10; brother of Dolly (Bill) Smith and the late John (Norma) Ducsay Jr. and Judith (Richard) George; uncle of many nieces and nephews; special thanks to his first wife and lifelong friend Elaine Phelps.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 11 th, 2025 at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 PM Saturday at the Hungarian Culture Club, 633 High St., Fairport Harbor.

The only thing Bob asked of everyone, was to stop for a moment, think of a story between you and him – then smile. If people could do that, then he would know that he left a wonderful mark on others.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Home and Cremation Services of Painesville.
