Robert C. Duke of Cloverport, KY, passed away August 28, 2025. Most of you knew him as Bob. He was born in Jefferson County, KY on June 28, 1934, son of the late John K. and Bettie Duke.

Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on a LST during the Korean War. He worked at Olin Chemical in Brandenburg, Willamette Industries in Hancock County as a maintenance supervisor and was the owner and operator of Duke Lumber Company in Cloverport, KY. He enjoyed workworking and some of his creations won Grand Champion at the County Fair.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Judge Melvin K. Duke.

Bob is survived by 2 sons: Jeff (Bethany) Duke of Cloverport, KY and Jonathan (Kathleen) Duke of Hawesville, KY

4 grandsons: Justin (Jennie) Duke of Greenwood, IN; Jordan (Tricia) Duke of Brentwood, Maryland; Alex Duke of Cloverport, KY and Christian Duke of Louisville, KY.

4 great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at Cloverport Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 3 PM. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 10:30 AM – 3 PM.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Cloverport Baptist Church.
