Robert Duval Obituary

Robert "Bob" Duval of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away on May 9, 2025 at the age of 77. Born on August 3, 1947, in Manchester, he lived a life defined by dedication to his profession and a passion for sharing knowledge.

Extremely active in his younger years, he enjoyed boating in the NH lakes region and riding motorcycles. He was also an avid marksman and hunter who shared his skill by providing instruction for the youth rifle club.

Bob was a skilled electrician, licensed in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. His expertise and commitment to safety led him to serve as the Electrical Inspector for the City of Manchester. Beyond his work in the field, Bob was a devoted educator. He founded his own electrical code seminar business, helping fellow tradespeople stay current with evolving regulations. Known as a "walking encyclopedia" of electrical codes, he became a trusted resource throughout the region.

His love for teaching extended into the classroom as well. As an instructor at New Hampshire Vocational Technical College, Bob guided aspiring electricians with his knowledge, leaving a lasting impression on many students.

Outside of his professional life, Bob had a deep appreciation for music. He ran a DJ business that brought energy and enjoyment to countless events, reflecting his enthusiasm and vibrant spirit.

Bob is lovingly remembered by his siblings: sister Diane Pellerin; sister Lorraine Duval; brother Denis Duval and his wife Barbara; and brother Norm Duval and his wife Michele. He also leaves behind two grandchildren: grandson Koda and granddaughter Cassandra; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Christopher Duval and by his parents, Albert and Therese (Fournier) Duval.

Bob's legacy endures through the many lives he touched - as an educator, inspector, mentor, music lover, and family member. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

Services will be held on Friday, May 16th at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester, NH. Visitation will be from 10:30AM-12:30PM with a Funeral Service at 12:30. He will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
