Robert Eugene "Bob" Easterday, 96, of Huntsville, OH passed away early Thursday morning, February 19, 2026, at The Gables of Marysville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Robert was born on November 21, 1929, in Delaware, OH, a son of the late Robert V. and Bernice M (Conway) Easterday. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Louise McKee Easterday, his second wife, Sandra Noggle Gorgas Easterday, a grandson, Zachary Taylor, two sisters, Wanda Somerlot, and Frances McGrath, and a brother, Stanley Burton Easterday.

Bob is survived by his three sons, Jeffrey A. (Gloria) Easterday, Bruce E. (Elizabeth) Easterday, and Mark D. (Trinna) Easterday, his three stepdaughters, Gina Gorgas (Ralph) Moseley, Jana Gorgas Foos, and Jodi Gorgas, seven grandchildren: Brookston Taylor, Bradley (Jennifer) Easterday, Kimberly Johnson, Stormy Foos, Skyler (Frances) Foos, Charli (Dillon) Schmidt, and Alix Miller, seven great grandchildren: Timber and Jayce Easterday, Mattis Johnson, Braxton and Parker Taylor, Shelby Taylor, and Liam Foos, his sister-in-law, Doris McKee, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bob was a 1947 graduate from Willis High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. During his 28-year career at Western-Southern Life Insurance Co, he earned his CLU and CHFC membership, retiring in 1985. He then went to work at the CORC Job Training Program in Delaware, serving as manager from 1989 until 1997 when he retired for the second time. Bob was a former board member of the Delaware Rural Electric Cooperative, and an active member of the Buckeye Valley High School Athletic and Band Boosters while his sons were in school. Bob was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge serving as Worshipful Master in 1979, Delaware Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, Sidney Moore Council, Columbus Valley of Scottish Rite, and former member of George L. Behrens Chapter Order of Eastern Star. He was also a member of Raymond B. Austin American Legion Post #115, and a 45-year member of Delaware Lions Club, working on the Habitat For Humanity House on Ostrander Road sponsored by the Lions Club. Since moving to the Indian Lake region, he became an honorary member of Lakeview Masonic Lodge #722, a member of Indian Lake Community Church, and has been active in building homes through the Habitat For Humanity program and volunteering on the restoration of the Holland theater in Bellefontaine. He also became a member of Indian Lake Moose Family Center #1533, Indian Lake Eagles Lodge #3615 and Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39 of Lakeview. He was a regular volunteer at the Logan County Historical Society. He also enjoyed his hobbies of playing golf, which he took up late in life (and had scored 2 holes-in-one), woodworking and gardening.

Pastors Karen Blackburn and Jim Ellington will begin funeral services at 4:00 pm, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Indian Lake Community Church, 121 N. Orchard Island Road, Russells Point, with visitation from 2-4 pm. Masonic services provided by the Hiram Masonic Lodge will begin at 3:50 pm, and military rites performed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard will immediately follow services. Inurnment will be at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's memory may be given to Indian Lake Development Corporation at ildcohio.org, Logan County Historical Society at loganhistory.org, or Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
