Robert Eldredge Obituary

Robert Eugene Eldredge passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Marcia; his daughter, Sheri Lomelino; sons, Mark and Rick Eldredge; and brother, Steven Eldredge.

Bob was born in Seattle, Washington, to Eugene and Elaine Eldredge. At the age of ten, his family moved to Sacramento, California, where he completed his schooling and later earned a bachelor's degree from Sacramento State College.

Before attending college, Bob proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957. He trained as a Military Police Officer with the 9th Infantry Division, serving in Germany.

After completing his degree in 1961, Bob trained as a computer programmer and began his career with the California State Controller's Office. After his marriage to Marcia, a native of Sebastopol, he moved to his beloved Sonoma County to begin his career working as a Systems Analyst for the Department of Human Services and later Department of Computer Services until his retirement in 1998.

A man of many talents, Bob was a gifted painter and stained glass artist, leaving behind works cherished by his family. He enjoyed volunteering with the Pacific Coast Air Museum from 1993 to 2007, helping restore aircraft and supporting annual air shows. In 2007, Bob began what was his greatest enjoyment, integrating his lifelong love of classical music with volunteer work at the Santa Rosa Symphony. For nearly the last two decades of his life, Bob cherished his time working with the Symphony, managing the music library for youth orchestras.

Bob will be remembered for his creativity, generosity, and dedication to service. His legacy lives on in his family, his art, and the many lives he touched through his work and passion for music.

Honoring Bob's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services. Please direct any shows of support in Bob's name to the Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra, 50 Santa Rosa Ave, Suite 410 Santa Rosa CA 95404
