Robert C. Ernst Sr., of Norristown, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Ashland, PA, Robert was the son of the late Edward and Bessie (Starr) Ernst.
Robert was a devoted husband to Kathryn P. Ernst for 63 cherished years before her passing in 2023. Their enduring love was an inspiration to all who knew them, and Robert found comfort in the memories they created together; especially their trips to Tennessee and Disney World.
Throughout his career, Robert worked as a foreman at Norfab, where he later retired as a supervisor after many years of service.
Robert was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family. He cherished moments with his grandchildren and his grand-dogs, rejoicing in the simple pleasures of life.
He is survived by three sons: Robert C. Jr., of Perkiomenville; Jaime L. and wife Patricia, of Greencastle; and Donald J. and wife Lisa, of Limerick; and six grandchildren: Matthew, Brandon, Joshua, Jacob, Cheyenne and Samantha.
Services will be announced at a late date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
