Robert "Bob" Glen Evans 66, of Beloit Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Beloit Memorial Hospital in
Beloit, Wisconsin.
Robert was born on Friday, May 1, 1959, in Houston, Mississippi, the son of Rosie Lee Evans and J.C. Johnson. At a young age the family moved to
Beloit, Wisconsin. He attended the Beloit Public Schools and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1978.
Robert was a man whose presence filled every room he entered – whether through his straightforward words, his laughter, or his undeniable love for family and friends. During his early years, Robert could always be found surrounded by his close circle of friends – hanging out with his boombox, sipping on Pabst Blue Ribbon, and sharing stories at West Autobody. Many fondly remember the sound of his mother's voice calling, "Robert Glen!" – the signal that it was time for everyone to clear out the driveway. Those moments defined a brotherhood that lasted a lifetime.
Robert had a passion for cars, loved listening to music, watching soap operas, and an avid fan of the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NASCAR. His garage was his sanctuary – a place where he laughed, debated, and socialized with buddies and family. It was more than just a space for his "old school" cars; it was a gathering place filled with memories, jokes, and good times.
Robert never hesitated to speak his mind. His words could be tough, but they were always real – spoken from the heart. Those who knew him best understood that his directness came from a place of love.
Robert was employed by for many years at Besly Products in South Beloit and as Food Processor at Hormel Foods in Beloit WI. He was also employed by Jamco Products in South Beloit, Illinois for several years.
Robert leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his significant other of 35 years, Patricia "Pat" Ann Lomax, chosen children, Tyson Lomax and Tosha Lomax; grandchildren, CaKorea "Missy" Lomax, Ty'Shone Lomax, Isaiah Lomax; great-grandchildren LaMar Lomax and Karmelo Lomax; sisters, Delvia "Velma" Evans-Johnson and Sabrina (Jeremy) Taylor; niece NeKeena Evans; nephews, Stephan "Chris" Vance, Donta (Tara) Evans, and Jeremiah Johnson; sister-in-law Geneva Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory forever. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Johnson and Rosie Lee Evans, and his brother, Willie Williams.
Robert will be remembered for his love of cars, his passion for good music, and the bond he shared with buddies and family!
