Robert E. Evans, 63, of Titusville, passed away on October 27, 2025, at the Titusville Area Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was born on November 4, 1961, in Oil City, a son of William C. Jr. and Sharon Barnes Evans. He married the love of his life Tammy Francis, on October 18, 1980.
He was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1979. After high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force, as a tactical aircraft mechanic. He was in the service for over 15 years and was honorably discharged in June of 1995.
Bob was known as the ultimate handy man, he had a brilliant mind with machines and engines, fixing any problem that he faced to help those that he loved. He was an avid hunter before his medical difficulties and enjoyed cheering on his Pittsburgh Steelers. He had a love for classic cars, his favorite being his 1976 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Above all he loved and cherished his family, he was exceptionally proud of his three sons. His daughter in law Bethany would remind him, that she was the favorite child, and even made him a T-shirt to prove it.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Evans of Titusville; his parents, William Evans and Sharon Evans of Titusville; his three sons, Robert Jr. "BJ" Evans and wife Bethany of Guys Mills, Jeffrey Evans and significant other Angelique Ippolito of Newburgh Heights, OH, and Logan Evans of Titusville; his brothers, Roger Evans and wife Bonnie of Titusville, Tim Evans and wife Kelly of Titusville, Ron Evans and wife Chris of Concord, NC; his sister, Lori Corklin and husband Jay of Titusville; his father and mother in law, Gentry Francis and wife Carolyn of Titusville; his brother in laws, Dwight Francis and wife Sherry of Osawatomie, KS, Mark Francis and wife Leona of Euless, TX; his nieces and nephews, Elise Welsh and husband William, Taryn Alt and husband Bob, Tanner Evans and wife Marissa, Samantha Evans-Khek and wife Lisa, William Evans and wife Amanda, Charley Evans, Jayce Corklin and wife Tori, Brady Corklin and wife Olivia, Riley Corklin and fiancé Ashley, Elizabeth Gatdula and husband Daniel, Jesse Evans, Alexandria McGaughlin, Ian Evans, and Nathan Evans, Christy Herring, Dwight Francis Jr., Ashley Francis, Taylor Francis, Tyler Francis, Dylan and Kim Francis, Trey Francis and fiancé Kendall Merigold; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many beloved friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, William C. Sr. and Dorthea Evans, Edith B. Zuck and William Barnes Sr., his uncles, Dave Evans and William Barnes Jr., and his infant niece Lacy Evans.
A memorial service and luncheon will be held in Robert's honor on November 1st, 2025, at the Hydetown Volunteer Fire Department, 12638 Main St., Hydetown, PA 16328, beginning at 2 PM, where family and friends are encouraged to share stories and memories.
Full military rites will be observed.
