Robert R. Fagin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on May 21, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 75. Born on October 16, 1948, in Cincinnati, Bob, as he was affectionately known, has left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
With a twinkle in his eye and a heart full of love, Bob lived life to the fullest. As a proud truck driver for ABF Truck Line in the logistics industry, he spent countless hours on the road, but always made time for his family. His wife Linda, whom he adored for over 50 years, was his true love since they were just 13 years old. Some of their special moments was enjoying a meal together at one of their favorite restaurants.
Bob loved playing the slot machines, betting on horse and dog races. He enjoyed family camping trips to Indian Lake and fishing expeditions brought him joy. His infectious laughter and silly jokes, especially during the 2:00 AM joke time with his daughters, brought a smile to everyone's face.
A proud Army veteran, Bob was not only a hero for his country but also a cherished hero for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love for old rock and roll, particularly Pink Floyd, filled his home with music and reminiscences of days gone by. Bob's warm and friendly nature meant he never met a stranger, and his family knew him as a "hot mess" full of life and love.
Bob leaves to cherish his loving wife, Linda, his daughters, Sherri (Troy) Smith, Cathy (Jeffrey) Fagin Lay, and Rebecca Fagin. Grandchildren; Cailee, Jake, Erica, Dylan, Brandon, Robert, and Alyssia. Great Grandchildren; Kendrick, Kieran, Henry, Nyla, Leon, and Eren, his siblings, Sharon (Robert) Ohmer, William Hill and Michael Cox. As well as extended family and friends.
Celebrating his life will be a Visitation at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park) on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 12:30 pm. Service at 1:30 pm with burial immediately following in the Garden of Friendship.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital st.jude.org in Bob's memory.
The memory of Robert R. Fagin will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, cherishing the laughter, love, and joy he brought into their lives. His spirit will continue to dance through the lives of his family for generations to come.
