Robert Faller Obituary

Robert Anthony Faller Jr

Robert "Bob" Faller was born in Miami, FL on 10 November 1951 to Robert Anthony Faller, Sr and Elizabeth "Betsy" Rosemary Anlage, their first son. He had an older sister, Patricia "Patty", and eventually became the big brother to four other siblings, Joseph "Joe", John, Jean "Jeannie", and Elizabeth "Beth".

He grew up working hard with his dad and often would recall how he started boxing with his dad when he was in 2nd grade. From his father, he learned an incredible work ethic that continued even until his last days, always feeling like there was something he needed to be doing. He was still in elementary school when he met his future wife, Christine "Chris" Conlan. They lived in the same area and had a mutual friend. Chris talked of them crossing paths so young with a sure knowledge that this was evidence that they were meant to be together. When he was a young teenager, he went to New Jersey to go to the Seminary. He did not complete the Seminary, much to the joy of his teenage sweetheart and eventual wife, Chris.

When Chris was still a senior in high school, Bob was drafted into the military for the Vietnam War. Later on in their life, Chris would laugh about how she was able to get out of homework because she would cry to her teachers about how her boyfriend was drafted into the military. Bob and Chris married on 15 July 1972 at St Brenden's Catholic Church in Miami, FL, when Bob was 21 and Chris was 19 years of age. Shortly after their wedding, they moved up to Charleston, South Carolina, where Bob was stationed for the Coast Guard. Bob chose to enlist in the Coast Guard because he was able to continue his education, eventually becoming a Master Electrician. It was in these early times of their marriage where they really learned how to cling to each other, something that persisted through the remainder of their marriage.

They welcomed their first son, Robert Anthony Faller III, on 31 July 1973 in Charleston, SC. Bob was honorably discharged from the Coast Guard, at which time, they moved back to Miami, FL. It was on 26 July 1975 that their second son, Joshua Edward Faller, was born in Miami, FL. Bob and Chris, with their two sons, settled in Clewiston, FL, which is where their third son, Joseph Bernard Faller, was born on 2 August 1981. Thomas Christopher Faller was born two years later on 4 October 1983. Their first daughter, Aubrey Jean Faller, was born on 22 February 1987. After so many rowdy boys, this daughter was the light of their lives. Tragically, Aubrey died 9 October 1988, and the lives of the Fallers were never the same again. Three years later, their hearts experienced some healing in the birth of their second daughter, Rosemary Eileen Faller on 30 August 1991. As the kids were growing up, Bob had provided an incredible example in working hard and providing for his family. His children learned from his example, often being brought into the work of building large quonset huts, repairing trucks, and eventually building a red iron steel home and large shop from the ground up in Live Oak, FL, after they moved to North Florida in late 2000. Bob lived his life loving deeply and serving those he loved. He leaves behind a legacy that includes a deeply devoted marriage, six children, and 16 grandchildren.

Bob passed away in the home of his son, Robbie, surrounded by loved ones. He is now reunited with his wife and daughter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr and Betsy; his sister, Patty; his brother, Joe; his daughter, Aubrey; and his beloved wife, Chris. He is survived by his children Robert (Michelle) Faller III of Lake City, FL, Joshua Faller of Lake City, FL, Joseph Faller of Live Oak, FL, Thomas (Kimberlei) Faller of Live Oak, FL, Rosemary (Schiefer) Buckles of Live Oak, FL, and his 16 grandchildren.

There will be an intimate gathering with family and close friends at the home he built at 19756 78th Place, Live Oak, FL 32060 on 28 September 2025 at 12:30pm. Please sign the online guestbook and keep the family in your prayers.
