Robert Fasano passed away on June 17, 2025, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Robert's life was a testament to service, commitment, and the pursuit of excellence. His journey began in the spirited streets of Baltimore, where his passion for public service ignited and he first dreamt of making a difference in the world.
Robert's academic pursuits led him to attain an Associate in Arts degree, which laid the foundation for his lifelong dedication to law enforcement and public safety. His commitment to protect and serve was further solidified as he graduated from the Police Academy, embarking on a distinguished career with the Maryland Police Department. Robert's dedication to his community was unwavering, and his work with the National Fire Academy underscored his commitment to safety and preparedness.
Robert proudly served in the US Army. His time in the military was marked by valor and an unwavering sense of duty, which earned him an honorable discharge and the esteemed Order of the Silver Rose. His service to the nation was paralleled by his involvement with Veterans of America, where he continued to support his fellow servicemen and women.
A sports enthusiast, Robert found joy and camaraderie in baseball and football. His competitive spirit was not only evident in his favorite pastimes but also in his remarkable achievements with the 50, 100, 200, and 300 Mile Club, where he pushed the limits of endurance and inspired others to do the same.
Robert Fasano's legacy is one of selfless service and an enduring commitment to the betterment of his community and country. His memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by Angelo Fasano and Isabella Fasano. Robert is survived by his mother, Patricia; sister, Darlene; daughter, Nicole, her husband and three children; son, Robert Jr, and his wife; daughter, Brittany, her husband and three children; daughter, Heather, her husband and four children. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the Veterans Association, nursing staff at Parkwest CCU, his nurse, Vickey; his caregiver, Cindy; Jennifer Pardo, Alex Black, Izaiah, and Brian.
A graveside service will be held 10:00am, Monday, June 30, 2025, at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
