Robert Fedewa, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully at his home in Mt. Pleasant on May 1, 2025, at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 19, 1935, Bob was adopted by Leo and Isabelle (Bogemann) Fedewa. He attended Beal City Public Schools and went on to have a fulfilling career as a builder. He also worked as a welder at Morbark for several years.
On November 9, 1957, Bob married Carol Yuncker in Isabella County, Michigan, and together they raised ten children: Robert, Catherine, Diann, Daniel, Timothy, Stephen, Gary, Kevin, Randy, and Rhonda. Bob was a man of many talents and interests, including carpentry, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, and music. He was a skilled craftsman, creating canes and furniture, and he enjoyed capturing life's moments through photography and videography. Known for his sociable nature, Bob was always ready to engage in conversation coupled with a great sense of humor.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Carol, and their children: Robert (Rachel) Fedewa, Diann Long, Tim Fedewa, Steve (Jennifer) Fedewa, Gary Fedewa, and Rhonda Jennings. He also leaves behind his son-in-law, Roy Goodwin, daughters-in-law, Virginia and Debbie Fedewa, 21 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his siblings, Barb Myers, Diana (Gregory) Reed, and Danny Baumia, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Isabelle, his children Cathy Goodwin, Daniel, Kevin, and Randy, and his step-brother, Paul Bogemann.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Bob's honor at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Andy Booms presiding. The Rite of Committal will follow at Calvary Cemetery, and a luncheon will be held at Lincoln Reception Center. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Monday, May 12, from 4-7 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday, one hour before the Mass.
