Robert B. Filangieri

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Beaudry Filangieri, age 70, died at home in Lewes, Delaware on June 17, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Shaw, son Keith (Todd Sawn), daughter Michelle (Christina Baccello), grandson Leonardo, step-son Matthew Shaw (Chrissie Ottati), step-daughter Melissa Carl (Hunter Carl), brother Kenneth (Karen Fickbohm), sister Carole (Jim Santo), and nephews Tim Filangieri (Emily Bilotta), Ashton Santo (Rowan Wray), and Niall Santo, along with his furbabies, Jaxxon, Scout, and Mika, and too many friends to name, all who will miss him dearly. Bob is predeceased by his first wife April and parents, Joseph and Maryann.
Bob spent most of his life in Hicksville as a resident and letter carrier before retiring to Lewes, DE in January 2024. He attended Trinity Lutheran School and Hicksville High School. He was a life-long NY Rangers, NY Mets, NY Knicks and Giants fan, had a passion for Music, American history and played Long Island adult league softball with the Sizzlers.
A celebration of Bob's life is planned for Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 2-6PM at Thomas F Dalton Funeral Home, 47 Jerusalem Avenue, Hicksville, NY 11801. The family requests that anyone attending feels free to share a story about Bob.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 12PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 40 W Nicholai Street, Hicksville, NY 11801. Interment to follow at Plainlawn Cemetery, 279 W Old Country Rd, Hicksville, NY 11801. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Bob's name.
