Robert Findley Obituary
A private memorial service will be held at the Mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 - 6 PM.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Nan Findley; parents, Herman and Ruby Findley; brother, Roger Findley; and three sisters, Mary Holroyd, Mozelle Brock and Clara Findley.
He is survived by: daughter, Karen Boyd and husband, Danny, of Winterville; son, Bob Findley, Jr. and wife, Dawn of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Claude Findley of Pensacola, FL and Dean Findley of Aiken, SC.
Bob was born in Anderson, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina. He then served his country in the United States Army. He went on to have a successful career in the textile industry for over 35 years. Bob had many things he enjoyed doing. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family, vacationing at Myrtle Beach and going to South Carolina Gamecocks football games. He also enjoyed his yearly trips to Canada to go fishing with his best friend, Ron Bern.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you please consider a donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
