Born on July 6, 1947 in Stamford, Connecticut
Passed on January 26, 2026 in Melbourne, Florida

Robert E Fish Jr., long time community educator, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Monday, January 26,2026. Rob moved from Stamford, Conn. To Melbourne in 1954 with his parents and siblings. He attended school at Ruth Henegar and Melbourne High School. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard tending to the coastal waterways and went on to U.C.F. where he earned his B.A. and Masters of Education in 1979.
Rob married his lifelong love Leslie Folsom with whom he devotedly built their home and raised three children. He served his community with over 40 years in the Brevard County School System and retired as principal at Johnson Jr. High school in Eau Gallie.
Rob was an avid volunteer. In his early years he was a member of the Boy Scouts and involved in the camp programs for South Brevard Y.M.C.A.. He was a youth soccer and football coach. Later in life he delivered food for Meals on Wheels and did transport services for Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne. Throughout his career he counseled and guided many children and families. He served his community and family with honor, compassion, humor and loving devotion.
Rob is predeceased by his wife Leslie and is survived by his sister Nancy "Chic" Fish, children Beau Fish, Daniel (Sarah) Fish, Katie (Darrell) Wensil and grandchildren Cameron Fish and Bradlee Wensil.
Please join our family and friends to celebrate Rob's life on Friday February 6th at the Irene H. Canova building, 2285 A1A, Indian Harbor Beach from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
