Robert Ray (Bob) Fisher went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 7, 2025. Bob, as he was known, was a husband, father, Opa, brother, uncle, and friend who is loved and missed by so many.
He was also a retired Master Sargent in the U.S. Army. One of his greatest sources of pride was serving his country. He was able to spend 9 years in Germany, which was filled with beautiful memories and friends in a beautiful country.
He then worked in a management position for another 20 years in the oilfield. He loved rock-n-roll and country music, and he always made his wife smile when he would sing to her.
He is survived by his wife: Virginia Fisher; sons: Heath Fisher (deceased wife Shea Fisher), Cody Fisher, (wife Debbie Fisher); and daughter: Kayla Stratton.
He lived for his three children and bragged about all three whenever someone would listen. He also loved his grandchildren: Grayson Fisher (wife Hollis Fisher), McKenna Fisher, Delaney Fisher, Aidan Fisher, Liam Fisher, Wesley Stratton, Hudson Stratton, and Owen Stratton.
He had so much love and appreciation for his sisters: Joyce Drewry and Joann Morgan Ray; brothers: Ronnie Fisher (wife young Fisher), Gary Fisher (wife Rosie Fisher), and Herman Fisher (wife Pat Fisher), along with many nephews and nieces, great and great-great nephews and nieces.
Preceded in death by his parents: Osborne and Opal Fisher; in-laws: Wardell and Virginia Grayson; daughter-in-law: Shea Fisher; brother: Oscar Fisher; and brothers-in-law: Robert Morgan, Bill Drewry, Don Ray and Benny Grayson; as well as nephews: Ricky Hoover, David Palmer, and Randy Ray and one niece: Diann Brister.
Memorial for Military services will be held April 26, 2025 at 10:30 am at Lovington Cemetery on Gum St.
Thank you to all for the sweet prayers, cards, and food that have been received on behalf of the Fisher family.
