He especially enjoyed gardening, fishing, hiking and any activities that nurtured his desire to be one with nature. He was a true steward of the land.
Robert not only appreciated good food but was a talented cook and an excellent baker who loved to share his specialties with family and friends.
He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a member of the American Legion.
Robert was a loving brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin, friend and soul mate.
He is predeceased by his parents Harlan and Mary (Kopach) Flad and his brother Ron Flad.
In honor of his wishes, cremation will be private and there will be no services at this time.

Bob, you are now relieved from your watch. A job well done fellow navy veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to begin, ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Smooth sailing shipmate.
