Mr. Robert Louis Fleeton, Jr., passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 68. He was born on December 7, 1956, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to the late Robert and Ethel Fleeton Sr.
Robert proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a disabled veteran. Following his military service, he was employed by the United States Postal Service, where he dedicated more than 25 years before retiring.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Robert devoted over 40 years to coaching little league football and other youth sports. Many children were able to experience the joy of being able to participate in youth sports. He also coached an adult men’s softball team for over 20 years and was able to mentor many. In addition to coaching, he was a certified umpire for both softball and baseball, sharing his love of the game with generations of players.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ethel Fleeton, Sr., and his sister, Gloria Jean Grandberry.
Robert’s memory will be cherished by his daughter, TuShonda (Jerome) Boyd; two sons, Robert “Robbie” Fleeton III and Zane Fleeton; two adopted sons, Zacari Sims and Zakariah Lee; two grandchildren, Jarrel Fleeton and Ja’mya Boyd; a sister, Marilyn Whitehead; three nephews, Ausun DeAngello Powell, Melvin Barkum, and Steven Whitehead; a niece, Chassion (Lucious) Mitchell; an uncle, Henry J. Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Wake for Mr. Fleeton Jr. will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 5:00 pm, at Infinity Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11:30 am, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Visitation will start at 10:30 am.
