Robert Neil Francis

     Mr. Robert Neil Francis, 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon, November 22nd, 2025.

     Born in Bethune, Mr. Francis was a son of the late Wella Carson & Lou Doris Watkins Francis. Neil retired from Sonoco Products Company after 35 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and was one of the originators of the Sonoco Bass Tournament. Being a “Computer Wiz,” he was named “Volunteer of the Year” for his efforts in getting computers to local schools. Neil enjoyed ministering to youth on Thursday nights at Camp Sandhills for many years. He was also a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

     Surviving is his wife, Diane Francis; son, Bryan Francis; brother, James Donald Francis; and several nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Buddy Francis.

     His memorial service will be conducted at 5 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon, November 25th, 2025, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home with Reverend Ken Hughes officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Lakeview Baptist Church Senior Adults at 202 Lakeview Blvd., Hartsville, SC 29550, or Camp Sandhills at 2381 Campbell Lake Rd., Patrick, SC 29584.
