Robert C. Fruchtnicht

1939 - 2021

Robert C. Fruchtnicht, age 82, passed away on December 4, 2021. A native of New Orleans, LA, he was born to the late Marie Kern Fruchtnicht and John William Fruchtnicht. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Rose Fruchtnicht Guillot, Shirley Fruchtnicht Meyer and Margaret Fruchtnicht McClellan; and his brothers, John William Fruchtnicht, Jr. and James Beville Fruchtnicht. Robert is survived by the love of his life and wife of 60 remarkable years, Lynne Toca Fruchtnicht; his sons, Robert C. Fruchtnicht, II (Damares) and Jody Michael Fruchtnicht (Michel); his grandchildren whom he was so proud of, Kayla Lynne Fruchtnicht, Kayce Ann Fruchtnicht, Kandace Lee Fruchtnicht McNeil, Emily Clare Fruchtnicht, Erin Marie Fruchtnicht, Kassidy Princess Fruchtnicht and Jason Jordan Fruchtnicht; and three precious treasures his great grandchildren, Jonah Vial, Jolie Vial and Myles McNeil. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Air National Guard and established a career as a Foreman at the Avondale Shipyard. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Church and Shrine. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Louisiana Hospice to the care given to Robert.
