Mr. Robert Joseph Gambichler, age 80, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Loris Rehab and Nursing Center. Born on January 24, 1945, in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Robert Gambichler and the late Mary Breznicky Gambichler. Mr. Gambichler worked in construction and was of the Catholic faith. In his personal life he was a man of many passions; a skilled drummer in a Scottish band, a lifelong fisherman who enjoyed playing cards with good friends, and a classic car enthusiast.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Joanne Marie Gambichler (Benjamin Rivera); two grandchildren, Alyssa Kochan and Mia Rivera; brother, George Gambichler; and sisters, Betty Ann Mallik and Irene Volkman.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
