Robert Lee Gandee Sr. (age 77) born November 10, 1946 passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. 

Son of the late Lawrence and Cora Gandee, survived by his siblings Clarence Gandee, Mary Knight, and Betty Siders. Preceded in death by his sisters Ruby Welch (Edward) and Susie Quinn (Randy) and his granddaughter Electra Ashcraft. Loving husband of 54 years to Jean Gandee (nee McCarthy). Dearest father to Robert Gandee Jr (Patty), Roger Gandee (Mary), James Gandee, Amanda Hyatt (Tony), Lisa Love (Hank), Matthew Nicholas and Joshua Nicholas (deceased), Dog dad to Roxie. Survived by many several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends (especially Billy Lane who he loved like a son) whom he loved and cherished.

Robert was born and raised in the Charleston, West Virginia area and relocated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1970 where he spent his remaining years. Robert loved Cleveland, but remained a country boy at heart. He was known for his signature plaid flannel shirts, West Virginia caps, love of TV Westerns and enjoyed spending his time outdoors.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 6-7:30 PM with a service at 7:30 PM at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44111.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of the Western Reserve, PO Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192
