Robert "Gary" Laster

Robert Gary Laster, 74, went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday September 10, 2025. He was born August 11, 1951 in Forsyth County to the late James Laster and Audrey Gallager Mewrritt. Mr. Laster was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church. Gary worked for Craftsman for Christ and built many Churches. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Mark Laster; sister-in-law Marcelle Bass; brother-in-law Danny Hill. Surviving are his wife Susan Moore Laster; children Alice Laster (Jason Denny), Amber Laster (Joseph Booe); grandchildren David Torres, Joseph Booe, Jr., Noah Laster, Raelynn Jarvis, Canaan Lawson, Jazmynn Booe; sisters Anne (David) Shropshire, Cathy Hill; special k-9 companion Sadie Mae. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Saturday September 13, 2025 at Faith Baptist Church. His funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM at the church by Pastor Monroe Otto. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full Military Honors by the VFW Post 10346. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Laster family.
